Mark passed away on March 21, 2026, surrounded by family at his home in Williams, Ore. Born in San Diego, Calif., on July 29, 1957, to Don and Virginia Batton, he moved to the Rogue Valley as a child and was raised there. He left high school to join to join the Navy, and after leaving the Navy he held various positions across the U.S., most recently working as a mixer driver.
